Cultivating Oregon’s CBD Hemp
What is a hemp cooperative?
Our cooperative model allows prospective farmers to reduce the amount of up-front capital needed to get started growing hemp, while also reducing time to market. We do the hard work of maintaining the legal and compliance structure so you can focus on what you do best: farming.
The company manages just under 100 acres of farmland split between northern and southern Oregon. The parcels are comprised of 100% native Oregon soil with onsite uncontaminated water with exceptional water rights. The climate, temperatures, and location on the equator of Southern Oregon, gives us one of the most optimal places on the planet to grow hemp!
Pricing is based on the May-November 2020 growing season and is subject to change.

Hemp Planting
Our farmers have the option to plant directly in our rich soil or use a plant-based, biodegradable mulch, such as FilmOrganic. Plastic mulch is not allowed in our fields. North South is passionate about our mission and commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. We offer a 3-row bed shaper, 3-row planter, and onsite greenhouse propagation program to make you hemp planting go smoothly.
Hemp Harvesting
With two successful harvest seasons under our belt, North South farmers have harvested their fields for boutique smokable CBD flower, biomass, and oil extraction. We use a few methods for harvesting, based on your go-to-market strategy. We offer a whole plant, mechanized harvest machine that removes each plant with the least amount of damage; ideal for CBD flower.
Agriculture Services
North South has developed a network throughout Oregon and California to assist with a variety of agriculture services including equipment rentals, custom fertilizer and amendment programs, seed breeders, irrigation supplies, drone assisted infrared monitoring, field labor, testing, and the list goes on. These resources are available to all our members. We also offer in house equipment rentals and consultation.

Legal & Compliance
Industrial hemp may only be grown in compliance with applicable state and federal laws, including the 2014 and 2018 farm bills and the anticipated U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations. North South strives to stay up to date on all new changes in compliance, as the industry is constantly changing.
